Chapter one
I opened my jaw in a wide yawn, my mother purring. "Put those teeth away, Minty dear. Why don't you have a look around the room?" She settled down into the soft, quilted nest. I gingerly put a paw onto the floor. It was soft and I could sink my claws into it. A large grey shape barrelled into my side.
"Rosemary, don't attack your sister like that!" Mama exclaimed. He rolled his eyes and got off me.
"No fair! Minty just waits for the attack and doesn't do anything while Lavender will start crying! Why couldn't I have had siblings that will fight with me!" He jumped up onto the windowsill and sat down bitterly. Mama licked my head. "Don't worry about him." She muttered.
